Moores of Brighton (1924) Limited some historyMoores of Brighton (1924) Limited ran as a Triumph car distributor for many years. From at least 1955 until 1974 they had premises at Russel Square. I believe the Russell Square building was demolished and that a multistorey car park was built on the site.Over the years the business held several franchases as can be seen in both the adverts on this page. Prestige brands including Rolls Royce, Bentley, Jensen, Jaguar and Daimler cars were sold from a showroom at 39 Old Steine.
Standard Triumph factory staff visited the Russell Square branch between 21st and 25th June 1965 to assist the branch with a special promotional Show and Service Week.
The business was bought by Dutton Forshaw in 1961 but went on trading under the Moores name until sometime after 1968.
